I loooooove discovering nature's cures and remedies for health problems. My latest discovery: CALENDULA! It's a marigold. Its petals are used for medicinal purposes like for burns, cuts, bruises, eczema, hemerroids, and just about any skin condition you can think of. I just bought a 2 oz. jar of calendula cream for Thayen's eczema. He has had a rough, itchy patch of eczema on the back of his leg, about the size of a quarter since he was about 4 months old. NOTHING has worked to get rid of it. Silly doctor kept saying "Hydrocortisone cream". That steroid cream stuff is just bad and doesn't take care of the problem anyhow. I've been putting this calendula cream on his eczema spots for just three days now and they're completely gone! Not only that, but I've been using the stuff on myself too. Dry, rough skin? Calendula! Weird spot on arm? Calendula! Zit on face? Calendula! Exciting, isn't it? God really did not leave anything out when He put this earth together, ya know? And it's even a fun word to say.
I know I said I'd only be posting about once a week, but with all the excitement I just couldn't control myself... ha.

Nice! I use all of that too! There's a great Coop called Azure Standard out of Darfur , OR where they have a huge catalogue of amazing organic products from frozen foods - skin care - cleaning products for such great prices - and they have drop off points all over OR and Washington , let me know if you want some info.... But they sell all of those great creams, essential oils and a great Cough Syrup that Chet and I love , that is made with honey, no bad artifical ingredients or dyes or sugar! Just good 'ole honey! I think you can get that at Fred Meyer too!

Hi!, Heather Crooks's Sister-in-law here, I saw your post when it was new and made a mental note, but haven't got back to it until now. Where did you by the Calendula? My daughter has had some VERY stubborn eczema spots in her diaper area and I'm wanting to try it for that. Thanks for posting this! My email is: abbeylockwood@gmail.com or I'll check back on this post to see if you've replied... Thanks!
